World HQ.

A mostly sunny day in Bredonborough, with occasional dark skies, and a fab morning by the back door with The Horse.

Backtracking --

  • Saturday 29th. May:

I accompanied T to a charity polo-match at Cowdray Park, Chislehurst, where Prince Charles was leading Highgrove against a team representing Audi, sponsors of the event.

This is not a world I am likely to encounter in the working player's normal run of events, and I found myself impressively out of place. Mike Rutherford, a keen polo player, was a likely guest but he's having a picnic! we were told when arriving. Dave Gilmour was also at this event two years ago.

HRH's posture in the saddle impressed me: he had a sense of his bodily presence while in motion. And I found the game interesting.

New food for the senses, then.
