Hotel Most Acceptable, Jersey.

To bed at 23.00, waking at 02.30, rising at 03.35. Front door at 04.45…

Kevin Taxi is punctual…

... and we set off for Birmingham (East Midlands) airport, arriving around 05.30. A straightforward check-in…

… 50 minutes in the air on a prop…

… to Jersey, Channel Islands. The Minx has been engaged to write a piece on Jersey & I am accompanying her. We collected our hire car & ventured into St. Helier, where parking is not easy, to Hotel Most Acceptable, known locally as the Royal Yacht Hotel. The hotel was the subject of recent major construction, with a new hotel connected to the external parts of the old RY Hotel, opening / re-opening last July. T stayed in the old RYH when she was seven. My Sister was also in Jersey at the time (1963-65), working as a hairdresser in St. Aubin while living in St. Helier.

Today, we landed to grey, arrived at the hotel, checked-in & hit the breakfasting chamber c. 09.45…

… for much-appreciated sustenance.

Shannon, the superb PR rep for Jersey Tourism, arrived at 10.00 and took advantage of the appearing blue, with forecasts for a weekend of rain, to engage T in photo-shoots, beginning in the hotel lobby I…

14.30  A light lunch at the hotel…

We have a good room…

with excellent view of the about-to-be-becoming park.

17.10 The hotel has superb spa facilities, and we were treated to a most-welcome massage.

22.02  Most enjoyable dinner with Shannon PR at the Salty Dog in St. Aubin…

Taxi back to the Royal Yacht…

… and to gentle after a long & good day.
