12.56 A morning of stuff, including dealing with Sanctuary. Mr. Stormy looks in, to check on my progress…
On my desk: a CD of unknown tracks by F&E; and two Rick Kemp blows with Mel Collins, Ian Wallace & RF. I recall these as being at the end of 1970 / early 1971. For three days Rick was a member of KC, before Rick came to his senses, changed his mind & joined Steeleye Span. 14.02 Off to Bournemouth. 20.21 A visit to Don Hardyman, a world-class pianist in his mid-adulthood, but one not interested in leaving Bournemouth for the league that his talent fitted. Don was also an outstanding woodwork teacher & now is primarily a semi-retired homeopath. Acquiring several of Don’s recently turned fabbo pendula. On to tea with John Wetton, looking better than he to these eyes has since 1991. John related details of his recent operation, some of which had me grasping privy places & squirming. John is in good spirits, will shortly be better than ever, and is returning to active service with Asia in the Spring. Our conversations ranged over several mutual concerns & characters, as is usual with us given our friendship over now 42 years, when we met at Bournemouth College. E-frenzy… 21.50 The inbox is down to 167. Enough.
