David arrived to cards and presents I…  II...  … before moving onto arising DGM issues. A report from David’s yesterday-visit to IE and a comment heard there from a visiting industry-adviser: record companies today look on the notion of artistic integrity as strange, whereas once it was assumed that artist choice had integrity, rather than driven by the professional imperative. Also discussed: three current disputes and the blossoming of The Vicar. 11.56 Off to Bournemouth. 19.23 First visit: to Uncle Bill, recovering from a nasty bout of flu. Uncle has been guest of honour at an important RAF congreting of navigators…  … and is the oldest RAF navigator there is. Then a visit Don Hardyman, pianist and homeopath, and onto Johnny the W for cakes, coffee and discussion of arising and mutual interests; which are going deeper and further than has ever been. A joy. Regrettably, one day is not enough to also visit other local pals I’d like to see. Back to the malfunctioning DGM boiler. 22.37 An evening computing. Broadband width is down to – it is not.
