17.12 Tea at 16.00 and conversations with my chums. Various arisings including tunings. And…
Q: What can the Guitar Authorities do to support RF’s aim for the retreat? A: You already have, by your work to date.

20.29 Although, nominally, only in a support role in the kitchen under Leo as chief cook + three of the Mexican Guitar Authority, it was agreed that my penne al dente was a winner. Judging by the sad feet, returning from the empty serving-bowl without seconds, my dish was appreciated. But, on a retreat such as this, almost anything would be.
Tom has said goodbye and is off.
21.44 Introducing a morning exercise in the Chapel at 21.00. This exercise was described by Mr. Bennett as like trying to balance an eel on your nose.
In St. George’s Hut, no ghoulies have disturbed my evening – yet.
