On the wet street for Minx Dirt…
As a loyal and supportive husband, even if I would not myself pass over hard-earned pay to support the Murdoch press, I have acquired NOTW and The Sunday Times for several years. Very occasionally, I have turned the pages of the Screws but, I have not given it attention since c. 1965. The Sunday Times: very occasionally, the Culture less occasionally. Today is the first Sunday that snapping-whipcords have propelled me along the High Street and there is no Screws for the return journey.

Back to lunch by the back door, in very changeable weather. To Cheltenham to visit Barbara, out to the Piddle to check on her cottage, now back for an early supper and gentling.
