09.43 Drizzle & greyness have sent me inside for morning tea & whippey fruit drink. A small but significant personal delight is to enter the day outside our back door, in fresh air & surrounded by roses. The thrush nest is now empty, so the spot is quieter & unthreatened by avial evacutaions. More boxes are packed & my library is becoming transportible. Yesterday the Little Horse & I drove through North Dorset to visit our about-to-be-becoming future village of residence. Here, the new World Central is functioning & getting better organised by the day. Hugh is a happy boy to have a room to himself, surrounded by filing cabinets & archive materials. Hugh feels that 5 years spent on a landing is sufficient time paying his artistic dues.
