From an e-correspondent… I reckon your Strat is a 1961 model, not a 1966 as stated, which would enhance its value even further. A serial number of 66596 certainly puts the production year as 1961 - possibly 1962. See this excellent website for confirmation…

way home from speaking to a conference of educators in Torquay.
Public speaking, as a dedicated
