The final appearance at the Palace Theatre and it’s been quite a treat for those coming along. Within Frippertronics there are varying points that can go from being tender to terse within a seconds of each other as new layers are introduced. Yet the transitions rarely jar or feel contrived. Occasionally the appearance of a new bleep will provide a disconcerting jolt but that’s no bad thing, keeping both listener and perhaps even the performer on their respective toes.
