Parlez-vous Francais? Even if you don’t, you can be pretty sure that the dulcet Dorset voice at the beginning of the tape has just informed the inhabitants of Quebec that the League of Gentlemen are, in fact, a dance band. On the first night of the LoG’s North American tour Barry Andrew’s organ is cajoled into emitting a hell of shrieks and growls which is clearly appreciated by all within range. In terms of Fripp resonding to encouragement, well, there’s plenty of it to be heard from an enraptured crowd as he rips it up during Thrang Thrang Gozinbulx.
