Notes
One of the delights of Dangerous Curves is the way Mastelotto constantly seasons the percussion with sampled voices. If you listen carefully you can hear Fripp's stage announcement at Denver about the dancing lady swirling in the mix. Having got off to a great start, we fly past the mini-epic of LTIA 1 / Level 5, a wonderfully smooth TCOL and a truly stonking Frying Pan. Tonight it sounds like they've got EleKtriK pretty much under their fingers as it picks up momentum. Listen out also for another tiny improv (or Vector in ProjeKct-speak) as a little curtain-raising before Thela. Short but very atmospheric. Belew is on top form during ProzaKc and an especially potent LTIA IV. When Crimson play with this kind of monstrous power it can be overwhelming for audiences. Eye-witness Sarah Metivier and one-time ET correspondent had this to say about the show. "I have never witnessed anything like that at all. I left the concert feeling physically weak. Sorry this review is completely one-dimensional, but I have nothing else to say.....brilliant. Simply brilliant. On to Chicago!"
